Takenaka-sensei wants to talk to Yuusuke, and is forced to drag him into the faculty room by pulling on his ear. Yuusuke escapes by using the old ninja technique "body substitute" and Takenaka ends up with a rag doll in his hand. In the TV-Series, he ends up with a rubber-ear instead. |

Atsuko (Yuusuke's Mom) features a more revealing outfit in the manga. However, in the Anime, she wears that passion killer, what's more, she looks quite different compared to her manga counterpart - a brighter hair color (unusual, considering the pitch black hair of her son), and there'a a slight change in character design. |

Notice the photo on top of Yuusuke's coffin: In the series he went from a grimace to an innocent look on his face, in order to play harder on one's heart strings. |

Kuwabara is pissed off because of Yuusuke's sudden demise. In the series, the sad ambience was enhanced: While Kuwabara just roars like crazy in the manga, he actually shed tears in the series and tries hard not to cry as his pals finally manage to drag him away from the wake. In the manga, this whole scene is more of an embarrassement, and Yuusuke reacts accordingly. In the Anime, he's surprised that his rival had such an emotional release. |

NOTICE |
|
|
Yuusuke's Manga-debut unites many aspects of the typical school rebel: He skips classes, smokes, fights, steals, and bullies his schoolmates. In japanese schools, all that is definitely a slice of reality, and had to be toned down for TV broadcasting. But you shouldn't forget, that the portrayal of the misguided character contains a certain message - that there's always a chance to start over and better yourself. |
